Jenaya Wade-Fray’s Great Britain Standard Life Women’s Basketball coach Tom Maher wants one final victory from his team as they wrap up their EuroBasket qualifying campaign and at the same time securing 7th or 8th seed for the 2011 Finals.
Maher's team reached their first EuroBasket finals with a 77 - 59 hammering of Germany at Liverpool Echo Aren, and have already won the group.
But the GB coach wants to finish things with a victory to obtain the best possible seeding for the finals which will be staged in Poland next summer:
"We are all pretty happy about finishing top of our group and qualifying for the European finals but I expect the overall seeding to be reliant on our win loss record so it's very important that we don't get distracted and we win this game."
GB's win and an 80 - 78 victory for Ukraine at home against Slovak Republic has thrown second place in the group open with all three teams - apart from GB - on 2-3 records.
A victory for the Slovaks in their home game against Germany will send them through, but if they slip up and Ukraine beat GB they will join Maher's team in Poland.
GB go into the game a four game winning streak, but a win on Sunday and a loss for Serbia in Latvia could see them ranked as one of the teams in the second pot.
When the teams met in front of a sell-out crowd at Surrey Sports Park last week GB were victorious 57 - 49. Jo Leedham led the way for GB as she finished with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Wade-Fray scored 2 points grabbed three rebounds and 2 blocked shots.
Natalie Stafford added ten points, four steals, three assists and as many rebounds, while Azania Stewart had nine points and five boards.
Inna Kochubei led the visitors with 11 points before fouling out midway through the fourth period.
