Bermuda Go Down in Trinidad

Trinidad & Tobago 2 Bermuda Under 17 National Team 1

Bermuda’s Under 17 National Team
went down 2 – 1 in their third and final game against host country Trinidad & Tobago in the World Cup qualifier, played at the Marvin Lee Stadium, in Trinidad.

Bermuda’s Starting Line-Up: Dale Eve, Shakeil Burrows, Zeon Robinson, Jair Minors, Shakhai Trott, Tre Ming, Shakeem Albouy, Zeiko Lewis, Mauriq Hill, Demetre Daniels and Quintonio Lema.

Trinidad scored the opening goal in the 21st minute, and then doubled the lead 19 minutes later to take a 2 – 0 lead into the half-time interval.

Zeiko LewisBermuda in the 46th minute , Lewis’, third goal of the tournament gave Bermuda hope that they could find the net again, but that was not to be as they fall short by one goal.

Bermuda lost all 3 of their games, conceding 8 goals and scoring 4 times, led by Lewis’ three and Jair Minors scored the other.

It was reported on the Bermuda Football Association’s website the Bermuda defender, Jevon Swan received a serious high left ankle sprain injury. Swan is currently wearing an air cast on his left leg to support the injury and has crutches to help mobilize himself.
