Bermuda Under 17’s 1 Cuba 3
In their first match of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Final Round Qualifiers in Trinidad, the Bermuda’s Under-17 team find themselves down 3 – 0 at half time as their quest for a spot in the 2011 FIFA Under-17 Men’s World Cup in Mexico is looking harder.
Cuba dominated the first half with Daniel Saez opening their score sheet in the 18th minute while Cuban striker, Dairon Perez, scored a double in the 33rd and 44th minutes to wrap up the first-half.
The Bermuda’s Under-17 team managed to pull a goal back midway through the second half when Zeiko Lewis found the net.
“The performance in the second half was much better than the first, we fought hard and did not give up any goals in the second half which is a credit to the boys for not giving up,” said coach Devarr Boyles
