The 2010 CellularOne Premier Basketball League (PBL) season continued this evening with a triple header at the Cedarbridge Academy Gymnasium.
Smith's Wildcats 60 Somerset Flyers 50
The Smith's Wildcats remained undefeated after defeating the Somerset Flyers 60-50. Ryan Rabain led the Wildcats in scoring with 23 points, while Jason Simons added 14 points. Jonathan Lowe scored 22 points for the Flyers while Dmitri Butterfield added 9 points.
Devonshire Dragons 52 Hamilton Tsunamis 51
In a nail-bitter, the Devonshire Dragons had a last second buzzer beating shot by Leyde St. Leger to have a 52 – 51 win over the Hamilton Tsunamis , Terence Dill scored 28 points to lead the Dragons, while Gregg Todd scored 13 points for the Tsunamis.
Paget Bearcats 68 Hamilton Parish Chargers 69
The Paget Bearcats had a last second lay-up by Chris Crumpler rim out in overtime as they went down 69 – 68 to the defending champions Hamilton Parish Chargers. Crumpler scored PBL season high 41 points, while Mike Smith scored 19 points for the Chargers.
