Minister & Governor Visit Camp

Day 1 of the Bermuda Brazilian Soccer School (BBSS) Midterm Camp was a very enjoyable and a special one, the camp was opened by the Hon. Neletha Butterfield MBE, JP, MP - Minister of Culture and Social Rehabilitation. Minister Butterfield encouraged the camp attendees to take full advantage of this opportunity and to apply the same efforts to their academic goals.

Director of Coaching Dennis Brown, introduced the guest coaches and they addressed the players, about what they expected from them during the week.

The Governor of Bermuda, His Excellency Sir Richard Gozney, visited the BBSS camp at 11:00 am. He toured the BAA training facility and stopped at each age group, to speak to the players and coaches.

The day saw the 5-6 year olds receive a full day of indoor training from the BSS coach Justin Richards from the UK, while the 7-8's played a host of matches (2v2 and 4v4) under the guidance of Tahj Wade and Jamehko Harvey-Outerbridge.

The 9-10's were led by Bryan Hall and Germaine Smith, they were put through various drills which focused on concentration and positioning, while the 11-15's were coached by Brown who focused on the core Brazilian Soccer School drills.
