Michael Sims will be a spectator for the remainder of the Moonah Classic on the Moonah Links – Fingal, Victoria, Australia after he shot a second round 2-over Par 74 and failed to make the cut.
Knowing a one under par round would have seen him into the weekend when he started his round at 11:15pm Bermuda Time Sims who stated out on the back nine finished shooting four Birdies, nine Pars, four Bogey’s and one Double-Bogey.
Playing in the $600,000.00 tournament, Sims started out with a Par and then a Double Bogey on the Par 4 number 11, but he was back to Even after a Birdie on the Par 4 twelfth and a Birdie on the Par 4 fourteenth, however two more Bogey’s on the back nine saw him make the turn +2.
Sims pulled a stroke back when he shot a Birdie on the Par 4 second and then he put himself back in it to make the cut when he shot another Birdie on the Par 5 fourth. But two more Bogey’s made sure he missed the cut by three strokes.
