Playing in the $600,000.00 tournament, Sims finds himself 15 strokes behind leader Jim Herman from the United States. Sims started out on the front nine and shot nine consecutive Pars to make the turn Even, but back to back Bogey’s on the Par 4’s 10th, & 11th saw him fall to 2-over Par.
Sims pulled a stroke back on the very next hole when he shot a Birdie on the par 4 twelfth, a Bogey and a Birdie on the next two hole saw Sims at 1-under with four holes to play. Sims shot a Bogey on the final hole after three consecutive Pars saw Sims finish 2-over Par.
