Michael Sims following his third round 1-under Par 71 and is nowT29th eleven strokes off the leader Robert Gates. Sims started the day knowing the Cut was -2, when he walked off the course he had no doubt that he will be playing over the weekend in the Michael Hill New Zealand Open.
Sims finished the round shooting four Birdies, eleven Pars and three Bogey’s.
Sims started out on the front nine shot a Bogey on the Par 4 3rd Hole, another Bogey on the Par 4 7th saw him fall back to 2-over par. Back to back Birdies on the Par 4 eight and Par 5 ninth hole saw Sims make the turn at Even Par. Sims who struggled on the back nine in his first round shot two Birdies and one Bogey to finish -1.
