Tariqah Walikraam as well as others had to finish their second round this morning as Alexis Thompson of Coral Springs, Florida shot a second straight 69 at The Heron Bay Golf Club to take a one stroke lead in the Women’s Dixie Amateur Championships.
With gale force winds blowing through the Heron Bay Golf Course the Women’s Dixie cut was at 162, with Fifty one players making the cut and continuing to battle Saturday and Sunday for the title. Walikraam shot a second round 15-over par 87 to finish shooting 176.
