Jun Hardart is competing in the Canadian Junior Golf Association’s (CJGA) World Junior Challenge taking place at Reunion Resort, Orlando, Florida.
Hardart is one of the juniors representing 17 different countries that teed-off on the Independence course.
On Day 1 in the Boys 15-19 Division, Tanapol Vattanapisit (Thailand) earned a five-stroke lead by shooting 36-32 – 68 (-4). “The course played very tough today because of the wind,” said, Vattanapisit. Chasing Vattanapisit was England’s national junior team member, Curtis Griffiths (England), and Luiz Jacinto (Brazil) who are currently tied for second place with a first round score of 73 (+1).
In dramatic fashion on Day 2 saw overnight leader Vattanapisit Disqualified. Hardart shot the second best second round score shoot3-under par 69 to move into 5th place six strokes out of the lead with one day to play.
Hardart shot four Birdies, thirteen Pars and one Bogey.
