Trinidad Looking for Action

IslandStats.com
Trinidad & Tobago Head coach Zoran Vranes will have a chance to see how some of his new selections fare on the international stage over the next week as the 18-man Trinidad and Tobago Olympic team arrived in Bermuda last night and held a Training Session at the National Sports Center this afternoon.

With the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup behind them, Vranes will focus on preparations for next year’s Pan American Games and the CAC Games, while the 2012 Olympic Games in London are also a top priority for the current Under-23 squad.

FIFA Vice-President and Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation special adviser Jack Warner will also visit Bermuda to witness one if not all the games this week.

Trinidad captain Leston Paul is confident coming into the games following the Under 20 tournament in Egypt.

Paul said, “It’s a holiday period but we are eager to get out there playing again because a of us have not played much football since returning from Egypt”.

Coach Vranes said, “It’s very important that we play good football and get back to serious preparation because football doesn’t stop anywhere in the world”.
