ESPN Soccernet has named St. George’s Colts and Quinnipiac University men's soccer goalkeeper Freddy Hall as one of its top 10 goalies of the 2010 class of prospects.
Hall, listed fourth by ESPN, finished his senior campaign as the Northeast Conference First Team goalkeeper after leading the nation in save percentage and total saves for much of the middle portion of the 2009 season.
The three-year starter led Quinnipiac University to back-to-back NEC Tournament berths for the first time in program history in 2008 and 2009 on his way to his second honor as a member of the conference's All-Tournament Team.
According to ESPN’s website, it's shaping up to be a solid year for keepers, and it could get even better if MLS signs, this is a real nice group with serious potential at the top and some guys who have the potential to start in the pros throughout the top 10.
Hall a Under 17 and Under 21 International, started his college career at South Florida before transferring to Quinnipiac. The 6-2 Hall earned the Northeastern Conference goalkeeper of the year award this season with a remarkable 0.75 GAA, 121 saves and nine shutouts.
In 2007, Hall he led Division I in save percentage (.915) and saves per game (7.38). Hall leaves college with a robust 324 saves in three seasons as a starter.
