Freddy Hall was one of five members of the Quinnipiac University men's soccer team that was named to 2009 adidas National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Atlantic Regional Teams.
Hall along with Pierre Soubrier, Shane Recklet and Philip Suprise were all named to the NSCAA North Atlantic Second Team, while Durval Pereira was named to the Third Team. This marks the second consecutive year that Recklet and Hall have received the honor.
Last season, Quinnipiac University had four players recognized as members of the All-North Atlantic Regional Team. Both Hall and Recklet finish their collegiate careers with back-to-back season as members of the Second Team, while Soubrier and Suprise were honored for the first time. Pereira was also recognized for the first time during his sophomore season, landing on the Third Team.
Prior to the start of the 2009 Northeast Conference Tournament, Hall and Soubrier were honored as members of the All-NEC First Team. Recklet was named to the conference's Second Team for the second straight season, while Suprise was also tabbed as a member of the second team for his efforts during his first season with Quinnipiac.
Hall finished the season as one of the top goalkeepers in the nation, leading all of Division I in save percentage for numerous weeks through the middle portion of the fall season. As www.islandstats.com reported earlier Hall was one of just five senior collegiate goalkeepers to be invited to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Player Combine in Ft. Lauderdale in January.
