Net Team – Junior Division
Local Club Riddell’s Bay Golf & CC composed of Professional Brian Morris, Allan E Richardson, Terry Mullan and Norman Wilson and Winchester Country Club out of Boston MA composed of Professional James Lane, Charles Hartnett, Carol Lowenstein Jr. and John Whitmore are tied at the top on 26 under par and 115 after two rounds of the tournament. Winchester CC fired a superb NET 16 under par 54 today at Tucker’s Point Club while Riddell’s Bay continued their fine form with an 11 under par 59 at Mid Ocean. One shot back is another team from Boston MA, Farm Neck Golf Club on 119 22 under par for the tournament.
Gross Team – Junior Division
Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club and Rhode Island Team, Wannamoisett CC “A” are tied at the top in the gross division on 13 under 128 for the two days. Wannamoisett A are lead by golf professional, Troy Pare and teammates Ben Tuthill, Mike Huber and Alan Modest and fired an impressive GROSS 10 under 60 today at Tucker’s Point Club while Riddell’s Bay managed a steady 4 under 67 today at Mid Ocean Club. Three teams are tied for third place and are only two shots back on 11 under 130 they are Farm Neck; Cyprian Keys GC and Belmont Hills C team.
Gross Team – Senior Division
Carnegie Abbey B surged into the lead in the Senior Gross Division with a fine performance at Belmont Hills today posting an 8 under 62 to take their two day total to 14 under par and a 5 shot lead over The CC of Salt Lake who are on 9 under and 132 for the tournament. From Rhode Island, Carnegie Abbey B are lead by golf professional Steve Napoli, Charlie Vachon, Marc Forbes and Tom Goryl and The CC of Salt Lake from Utah are lead by Golf Professional Wayne Fisher, Neil Henderson, Dennis Runnoe and George Bradley.
Low Professional - Ladies Division
Weekapaug GC female Professional Susan Bond opens a 6 point lead after adding 12 points to her total giving her 21 points in total after two days. Port Royal GC Female Professional Judith Astwood Outerbridge is on 15 points in total. Both clubs are in the same rotation and it should be interesting going down to the wire.
