In the Junior Professional Division Kirk Hanefeld posted a 1 under 69 in his final round to take his total to 11 under par and 269 for the tournament and capturing his second Gosling’s Invitational Trophy since 2005. Overnight leader and European Senior Tour Player Delroy Cambridge did all he could this week to set the pace and ensure that it was going to be an exciting finish to the end.
Canadian Brian McCann took second place money and third overall finishing at 8 under and 272 for the tournament. Last year’s joint winner Joe Horowitz played extremely well again this year and finished 4th overall and 3rd in his division. Horowitz was at 3 under par and 277 for the tournament.
Top Local Professional Scott Roy continued his fine form and fired an aggressive 3 under 67 today to take his four day total to 1 under par 279 for the tournament.
Senior Professional Division
Cambridge captured the inaugural Senior Division by a commanding 8 shots finishing at 9 under par and 271 for the tournament. Craig Marsailles finished 2nd on 1 under and 279 overall. In third was John Brott on 286 overall or 6 over par.
Junior Amateur
Daniel Augustus completes his third title in succession and deservedly so with consistent play all week, Augustus finished 7 over par and 287 for the tournament. Camiko Smith took 2nd place honors at 13 over par and 293 for the tournament, while in third place was no stranger to the Goslings and a fine junior golfer himself, Chris Garland finished on 312 overall.
Net Division – Open Amateur Andy Wright captured the NET Open Amateur Championship after posting a NET 72 today putting him at 6 over NET and 286 and level with Luis Gerardo who posted 5 over NET 75 today. Overnight leader Jerome Bradshaw finished 3rd for the second straight year and looks to return next year to move up a notch.
Senior Amateur
Jeffrey Lindo retains his senior title by a whopping 16 shots. Once again Lindo saved his best for last posting a tremendous 1 over 71 today giving him an overall total of 14 over par and 294 for the tournament. Boston Resident Glenn Kelley finished second place on 30 over par 310 for the tournament and Millard Beach took third place honors finishing at 31 over par and 311 for the tournament.
Net Division – Senior Amateur
Allan E. Richardson captured the Senior Net Division by a commanding 6 shots after posting 1 NET 2 under par to take his total to 10 under par overall and 270 NET. In second place is no other than Pietro Fecchio responsible for the popular junior tournament the “Fecchio Cup” Fecchio finished at 4 under and 276 overall after posting a brilliant 7 under 63 NET today catapulting him into second place on his own.
