Senior Professional Delroy Cambridge takes overall lead at 8 under par 132 after two rounds of the Gosling’s Invitational. Cambridge posted the best score of the day 5 under 65 to give him a two day total of 132.
Open Professional Division
Joe Horowitz and Kirk Hanefeld are tied at the top of this division on 7 under par 133 for the tournament after two rounds. Horowitz followed his 7 under 63 yesterday with an even par 70 today in tough back 9 conditions. Hanefeld however added a tremendous one under 69 today to his 6 under 64 yesterday.
Former Bermuda Open Champion, Brian McCann also posted an even par round 70 to keep him in touch with the leaders. McCann sits on 4 under for the tournament 133 overall. Billy Walsh is playing the most consistent in the field recording a second successive 2 under 68 to give him a two day total of 136, 4 under for the Championship and tied for 3rd place. Scott Roy remains the leading local professional posting a very respectable even par 70 to take his tow day total to 2 under and 138 for the tournament. Former Goslings Champion Dwayne Pearman is closing in and only one shot back after recording a two under 68 leaving him at 1 under 139 with former PGA Tour Player and last year’s joint winner Mike Donald.
Senior Professional Division
Cambridge posted the low score of the day with a superb 5 under 65 taking his total to 8 under 132 after two rounds and four shots clear from overnight leader and joint course record holder Craig Marseilles who could only manage a 3 over 73 today giving him 136 overall and 4 under for the tournament. Cambridge leads the overall field by one shot.
Junior Amateur
Defending Amateur Champion Daniel Augustus takes a slim one shot lead over Camiko Smith. Augustus fired another impressive 1 over 71 giving him a two day total of 142 and 2 over for the tournament. Smith fired an equally impressive 2 over today putting him at 143 and 3 over for the tournament overall.
Net Division – Open Amateur
Jerome Bradshaw stormed into the lead by two shots after posting a NET 4 under 66 today giving him a two day total of 3 under and 137. Luis Gerardo remains in second with Chris Garland who are on 1 under 139 NET for the two days.
Senior Amateur
The battle for the Senior Amateur title is heating up between defending Champion Jeffrey Lindo and Boston resident Glenn Kelly. Both players are locked at 10 over for the tournament after posting very respectable 6 over 76’s today giving them a two day total of 150. Quinton Sherlock Sr. is only two shots back after recording the low score in this division, 4 over 74 and 152, 12 over for the tournament.
Net Division – Senior Amateur
Allan E. Richardson is putting a bit of distance between him and his rivals after posting a NET 68 today giving him a 9 under 131 total for the tournament. In Second place is Sherlock Sr. on 138 2 under Net for the event.
