Bermuda is left out in the cold as nine Caribbean countries are selected to benefit from a new FIFA initiative, in which each association will receive $150,000.00 for a project to be executed next year.
The program is called ‘Winning CONCACAF with CONCACAF’, the program was successfully developed from a program in Africa called ‘Winning Africa with Africa before the 2010 World Cup. The project is a cooperative venture between FIFA and CONCACAF – one of six regions globally.
The Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago have been selected for a youth development program targeting player’s ages 12 – 16 years.
