Hall Named to All-NEC First Team

Freddy Hall was one of four Quinnipiac University men's soccer team members to received individual awards at the 2009 Northeast Conference Tournament banquet hosted by Monmouth University. Senior goalkeeper Hall and his junior teammate defender Pierre Soubrier were named to the All-NEC First Team after leading Quinnipiac to consecutive berths in the NEC Tournament for the first time in program history in 2009. Senior midfielder Shane Recklet and freshman forward Philip Suprise were tabbed to the All-NEC Second Team.

"It's a great honor to our players recognized by the coaches in the league," said head coach Eric Da Costa. " Soubrier and Hall should be extremely proud to be a part of the First Team. It also says something about this team when Recklet and Soubrier both are honored after making transitions into new positions this season."

"For a rookie to make the team as Suprise did is something that the whole program can be proud of," Da Costa added. "Hall has been a constant throughout the season and this is a validation of all his hard work."
Hall ends his career as a three-time all-Conference selection with Second-Team honors as a sophomore and junior and a First-Team selection this season as a senior.

Hall proved to be one of the top players in the NEC this year, leading the nation for much of the second half of the season in save percentage. Hall finished second in the league in save percentage (.888), goals-against average (0.68) and shutouts (nine), but was the major reason Quinnipiac earned a berth in postseason play, turning aside almost twice as many shots as any other goalie who qualified for the NEC Tournament.
