BGA to send players to Argentina

The Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) has committed to sending a team to the America’s Cup that will be played the first week of January 2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This two players team event that will be played January 3rd - 10th will help the Argentine Golf Association to test everything for the 2010 World Amateur. The tournament is for all American Countries from Canada down to Argentina, including Bermuda and the format is 72 hole stroke play competition.

The BGA will hold a qualifier to see who the two ladies and two men will be that will represent Bermuda.

The courses selected are the same courses that will co-host the 2010 World Amateur: Buenos Aires Golf Club and Olivos Golf Club, both top 100 outside USA by Golf Digest. This event continues to help the growth of golf in Argentina and will receive the best amateurs in the region.
