Roger Lee – University of Indianapolis
Lee and his University of Indianapolis men's soccer teammates wrapped up their season with a 3-1 victory over visiting Maryville University on Senior Day at Key Stadium. Lee scored his team’s third goal in the 73rd minute, his ninth of the season, off a pass from classmate Max Marsh .
Marquel Waldron – West Florida University
Waldron and his University of West Florida men’s soccer teammates went down 5-0 to NAIA William Carey at the UWF Soccer Complex. West Florida had a tough time getting their offense going as No. 12 William Carey jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.
Freddy Hall – Quinnipiac University
A first-half goal by junior Tolle Staffanson helped the Quinnipiac University men's soccer team to 1 - 1 draw with St. Francis (NY). The tie gives Quinnipiac University 17 points in the Northeast Conference standings as they now post a record of 5-0-2, while 8-1-6 overall. St. Francis point keeps them one back of Quinnipiac University with a 5-1-1 NEC mark and are 8-5-1 overall this season.
Both teams put a great deal of emphasis on offensive play in the second half. St. Francis' Robbie Weir nearly tied the game, 1 - 1, with 21 minutes remaining, but was stop by a diving Hall. Hall finished the game with seven saves, but was unable to stop Nick Baum's shot in the 86th minute. A scramble in the box allowed Baum to put a shot into the lower left corner as Hall was not able to get his footing in the slippery field conditions. The Quinnipiac senior goalkeeper slipped moving to his right to try and make a diving save on the shot, but could not reach as the ball rolled into the net for the tying goal. Hall allowed his first goal in 402 minutes of action on the lone St. Francis strike.
Shonte Campbell – Hotchkiss Girls Varsity
Campbell and her teammates endured a tough day all around as they faced a fired up and ready Choate squad. Hungry for a win, Choate caught the Hotchkiss team early and took advantage of the very slippery and wet conditions to score the first goal of the game. Their second came not much later as the result of part fluke/part confusion and Hotchkiss were suddenly down 2-0. But the Hotchkiss team never stopped working and was able to pull one back on a beautiful goal from Campbell near the end of the first half.
