Aeziah Divine concluded his weekend at the R&G British Talent Cup with a pair of determined rides at the iconic TT Circuit Assen, showcasing his resilience in challenging conditions.
Divine, starting from 18th place on the grid in Race 1, was looking to push forward but was caught up in an incident early on. "We had some good battles throughout the race, but I tried to stay at the front of the group to catch the next set of riders," Divine said. "Unfortunately the chance to catch those ahead ended when it started raining and a red flag brought an early end to the race with me in 16th place."
The second race saw the young rider stick to his plan, putting in a performance that left him feeling positive. "It was a wet and windy race but an awesome one to end the weekend with," he reflected. "I had a strong first few laps, pushing hard to stay with the second group and setting a good pace from early on. I made quite a lot of passes on the first lap and started gaining time on the riders ahead."
Divine continued to make progress, finding himself in the group battling for seventh by lap three. He remained with them for the rest of the race, climbing six positions to reach tenth by lap eight. Another red flag due to rain brought the race to an early close, with the final results determined from the previous lap.
Divine was officially classified in a solid 12th place. "I am really grateful to the entire Fibre Tec Honda - MLav Racing team for all their support," he concluded. "The hard work is starting to pay off with another great step forward. Couldn’t do it without you."
