Daniel Phillips has continued his impressive run at the 2025 ITA Men's All-American Championships in Oklahoma, advancing to the next round with a straight-sets victory.
The Tulane University representative, who won a three-set thriller in his opening match, showcased a more dominant performance in the second round. Phillips took on Andre Steinbach from the University of Louisville, winning 6-3, 7-5.
Phillips demonstrated his powerful serving and aggressive groundstrokes throughout the match. He broke Steinbach's serve early in the first set to take a commanding lead before closing it out 6-3.
The second set was a tighter affair, with both players holding serve until late in the set. However, Phillips remained composed under pressure, securing a crucial break at the end to seal the victory and his spot in the next round.
