Daniel Phillips has started his campaign at the 2025 ITA Men's All-American Championships with a thrilling victory, outlasting the 21st seed Mans Dahlberg in a three-set marathon.
Phillips, representing Tulane University, showed immense resilience to defeat his opponent from the University of Virginia, winning 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 in a captivating contest hosted at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma.
The Tulane star got off to a flying start, breaking Dahlberg's serve to take the opening set 6-4. However, the seeded player fought back in the second, finding his rhythm and forcing unforced errors from Phillips to level the match at one set apiece with a 7-5 win.
