 Phillips & Hallett IslandStats.com Bermudian pickleball player Imani Phillips, alongside her partner Lily Hallett, has secured a silver medal in the Women’s Doubles 4.0 division at the 2025 English Open, held at the Telford International Centre.
The pair navigated a challenging group stage with impressive form. They opened their campaign with a close 11-9 victory over Alison Shenton and Alice Lamb, before following it up with a dominant 11-1 win against Nimeesha Ashok and Ruiqing Hu. Phillips and Hallett continued their strong start with an 11-7 victory over Angelina Sanderson Bellamy and Sophie Burton, before their undefeated run was ended in an 11-0 loss to Megan Bignell and Katy Taylor. They bounced back immediately with an 11-0 win against Christina Barham and Sarah-Anne Barham to close out the group stage.
Advancing to the knockout rounds, Phillips and Hallett defeated Morgan Schrader and Danielle Frazer 11-6 in the Quarter-Finals. They then secured their place in the final with an 11-8 Semi-Final victory over Emma and Helen Monson.
In the Gold Medal match, Phillips and Hallett faced Bignell and Taylor once again, falling 15-10 in a hard-fought contest to earn a well-deserved Silver Medal.
