Bermudian tennis player Daniel Phillips has continued his impressive form on the professional circuit, clinching his second ATP Tour victory at the M15 Kayseri tournament in Turkey.
Competing in his second match of the qualifying rounds, Phillips faced Aleksandre Shvangiradze from Georgia. In what proved to be another hard-fought encounter, Phillips displayed the same composure and resilience that saw him excel during the Davis Cup Group III in Costa Rica. He prevailed in straight sets, triumphing 7-6, 7-0.
This victory moves Phillips into the third and final round of the qualifiers, where he will face his toughest test yet against the top seed in the qualifying draw, Ali Yazdani from Iran. Phillips will be looking to build on this strong start as he aims to secure a spot in the main draw of the M15 Kayseri event.
