Following his commanding performance at the Winners Edge Criterium, where he was the sole rider to complete the full distance in the A/B Race, Conor White has spoken to www.islandstats.com about his victory.
White, representing Muck-Off-SRCT-Storck, put in a dominant solo effort on the Cross Island course in Dockyard, lapping the entire A/B field. Reflecting on his performance, White acknowledged the challenging conditions but expressed his enjoyment at racing on home soil.
"It was nice to do some racing while I am at home," White told the local sports website. "It was pretty windy which made it a little challenging, but it was fun to come and ride with everyone back home."
Despite the windy conditions making for a potentially tougher race, White's dominant performance, where he completed 35 laps while the closest competitors completed 33, underlines his strength and class. His comments highlight the importance of local racing and the enjoyment he derives from competing alongside fellow Bermudian cyclists.
