Julian Fletcher has put his name in the Swimming lineup for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
Fletcher competing at the Inaugural American Athletic Conference Championships representing the Southern Methodist University swam the Men’s 100m Breaststroke .45 of a second below the Qualifying Standard time.
Competing in Heat 3 of the 100m Breaststroke Preliminaries finished 3rd touching the wall in a time of 55.60 out stroking the Qualifying Time of 56.15.
Fletcher was on track after the first 25m, with a time of 11.67, he slowed in the second 25m with a time of 14.45, but the third 25m saw him clock a faster time of 14.41 and then he closed out with a time of 15.07 for his time of 55.60.
