Kiera Aitken who holds several Bermuda National Swimming Records is now back in Bermuda contemplating what is next for her.
Aitken is one of Bermuda's most successful swimmers and has twice been named Bermuda's Female Athlete of the Year, in 2004 and 2009).
Aitken carried Bermuda's flag at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Aitken said, “I am done in the Pool, I’ve been swimming in the Pool for 20 years and now I think it’s time to move on, I will probably swim in the ocean but I will stay clear of the Pool.”
Aitken represented Bermuda at the Olympics in 2004 and 2008, the Commonwealth Games 2006 and 2010, the World Championships in 2007 and 2009 and the Pan American Games 2003 and 2007.
