Dr. the Hon. Ewart F. Brown; J.P., M.P., Premier of Bermuda is today welcoming the news that PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka will be attending The Premier’s Farewell Gala Weekend.
Premier Brown remarked, “Mr. Steranka and the PGA have established a warm and mutually beneficial relationship with Bermuda, one that has led to our successfully hosting the PGA Grand Slam. The benefits Bermuda has achieved through our association with this stellar event are incalculable and we are grateful for our partnership with the PGA. I am pleased that Mr. Steranka has agreed to join us for the Farewell Gala Weekend and believes his support bodes well for the future relationship between the PGA and Bermuda.”
Joe Steranka was appointed PGA of America CEO in 2005 and has guided relationships with several television networks to broadcast The PGA’s premier events to unprecedented worldwide audiences. A 1979 graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. in journalism, Steranka and his wife, Joann, live in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and have two children.
The Premier’s Farewell Gala Weekend will be held from September 10-13 with tickets on sale now through the Progressive Labour Party. Premier Brown is scheduled to complete his term as Premier in October, retiring from both the leadership of Bermuda as well as his seat in Parliament for Constituency 26 Warwick South Central.
