Mussenden Subair partners Larry Mussenden and Shade Subair have a keen interest in sports. Mussenden was the President of the Bermuda Football Association for several years and currently sits as the Chairman of the Appeals Committee of FIFA, the international body for football where he regularly hears appeals from countries all over the world. Subair is an avid tennis fan who has competed in Bermuda in the tennis leagues and competitions. She follows several sports with great enthusiasm.
Steede who coaches and plays Football for the Devonshire Cougars is the first male recipient of the award. Steede collected his $1000 Cheque and Trophy.
In March Steede will the Devonshire Cougars to the CONCACAF Club Championships Qualifying Phase Tournament in St. Vincent..
Steede said, “I would like to thank Mussenden Subair and Islandstats.com, as well as all the people that voted for me. When I saw the list of players I thought it was going to be tough because of the fact that there were so many talented athletes on the list, but I am extremely happy to win this award.”
Mussenden said “I on behalf of Mussenden Subair I would like to congratulate Steede on winning this award, I would also like to wish Steede and his teammates all the best on Sunday in the FA Cup Semi-Final and their upcoming trip to St. Vincent.”
Steede received 14% of the over 1,900 votes for the Men, Gavin Manders and Janeiro Tucker received 10% each, while Stephen Dickinson collected 9%.
