Incredible Day for Team Tuned

IslandStats.com
Team Tuned Motorcycle Racing's 3 riders continued to enjoy great success in the sixth round of the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club National Championship Series. October 4, 2009 marked an incredible day of results for Team Tuned as its riders secured a clean sweep of 10 out of a possible 10 victories!

Bruce Degrilla Jr. (4 Wins), Cody Sousa-Saints (3 Wins) and new addition Shae Darrell (3 Wins) all dominated their respective classes in the penultimate round of the BMRC Championship. Including the victories from the race on September 20, 2009 the total wins for the season over 7 rounds now increased to 27 across the three riders including 39 podium finishes. Not only has the team achieved a flawless day of victories but Degrilla Jr. managed to increase his lead over second place rider Andrew Decosta to 83 points. This margin will be a feat which Decosta will be unable to overcome with only a possible 75 points remaining over the final 3 races on October 18, 2009. Degrilla Jr. will be crowned the 2009 GP125 Champion at the end of the event with a one whole round remaining.

Sousa-Saints also finished the sixth round of the BMRC Championship with a flawless round of victories extending his lead over second place rider Aaron Persad to 51 points. Although there are 75 points up for grabs Sousa-Saints has one hand on the championship trophy heading into the final round. As long as Sousa-Saints keeps his bike on two wheels he will have a guaranteed championship at the end of the final race event.

It was smooth sailing for the team all day including a clean-sweep from the team's newest rider, Darrell. Darrell is now competing under the Team Tuned banner within the GP70 classification and is 22 points behind the first place rider Jazari Caisey. Darrell has excelled tremendously over the past three race days riding for the team winning every race he has entered under the guidance of his fellow riders and his coach.

All three riders currently have the most victories within each of their respective categories and are looking to secure both rewards for most wins and championship victories at the end of the final round to be held on October 18, 2009. There will be 3 guest riders competing within the final round at the Bermuda Motorsports Park. One of the riders, Emerson Connor, will be competing within the GP125 classification against our star Degrilla Jr.

With the championship wrapped up for Degrilla Jr. his mind is set on his new challenge of his first race against an international rider on home soil! Be sure not to miss the season finale as it is guaranteed to be an event to remember!
