Scott Barnes began competing in the World Karting Association Daytona Kart Week.
Barnes started the Senior Class in 15th and finished 10th out of 33 drivers, which Barnes said, “Not bad for the first time racing this track!”
Barnes then started the Masters Class in 2nd, Barnes would fall back to 3rd, he would then make it back to 2nd on lap 5, Barnes would run down the leader, before the kart started to go away, with Barnes having to settle for 2nd out of 25.
Barnes said, “For this the first race day from Daytona we had some fantastic racing across all of our classes on the sprint track. Congratulations to our podium finishers, and I am glad I will be bringing some hardware back home from Day 1.”
