Barnes Competes in Quincy Grand Prix

IslandStats.com
The Grand Prix of Karting's triumphant return to South Park probably could not have gone much better on a breezy and sunny day.

Scott Barnes took to the track with the Quincy in the Park having a lot of history from back in the day and returned with a bang!

Barnes said, “With over 6000 people watching in the park and a track that took a lot of nerve to push fast made this track one of the funniest and craziest tracks I’ve ever raced! Had some bad luck in the 206 class but came home 4th in the shifter behind 3 really fast ICC motors.”

Barnes first raced in the Ignite LO206 Class race, he started in the 30th spot and worked his up to 7 by lap 5 and was running in top pack when someone spun out in front of him and collected a bunch of karts, leaving the drivers nowhere to go.

The Same thing happened in the final race of the Class, this time he started 11th after qualifying and was up to 8th when someone wrecked in front of him resulting in the second Did Not Finish in the LO206 Classes, but he did record that 4th place finish in the 125 shifter final race.

Barnes concluded, “Great racing, lots of fun. This track was one of the craziest tracks of I’ve ever raced before.”
