Bermuda’s Junior Davis Cup Team of Trey Mallory, Tariq Simons and Scott Redmond won their second game in El Salvador.
Bermuda defeated Puerto Rico 2 - 1 to advance to the Junior Davis Cup Play-offs.
Bermuda took a 1 – 0 lead as Simons got Bermuda off to a good start playing in the number two Singles spot defeating Hector Diaz in straight sets 7-6, 6-2, the match took One hour & thirty-Seven minutes to complete.
Needing only one win to advance Mallory took to the court for the number one Singles spot where he faced off against Jean Luis Marrero, Mallory defeated his opponent in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 to earn Bermuda the win.
With the match already wrapped up, Bermuda sent Redmond and Simons went to play the Doubles against Diaz and Andre Zequeira, the Bermuda pair went down in straight sets 6-0, 6-3.
After defeating the tournament number 6 seed, Bermuda will go up against the tournament number three seeds Aruba.
