Daniel Phillips began competing in the 2023 ITA Division 1 Men's Southwest Regional Championships.
Representing Arizona State University, Phillips took on Max Wuelfing, from Loyola Marymount University.
Phillips would need three sets, but he would advance to the Second Round.
Phillips went down in the First Set 6-3, but he would bounce back to win the Second Set 6-2. Phillips would then win the Third and Final Set 6 – 0.
