Mixed Day for Warner & Whitter in St. Lucia

Bermuda pair Antonio Warner and Mackai Whitter were back in action competing in the Confederation of Tennis of Central America and the Caribbean (COTECC) at the St. Lucia National Tennis Center.

Both Warner and Whitter are playing in the Boy’s Under 14 Singles and Doubles Division.

Whitter took to the court to take on Xavier Peter-Gooding from Barbados in their Quarter-Final battle.

A place in the Semi-Final was up for grabs with Whitter advancing in a three set battle.

Whitter won the first set 6-1, Peter-Gooding won the second set 6-4, but Whitter would then rebound and won the third and final set 6-2.

Warner was also in a Semi-Final battle against the number four seed Gabriel Porras from Guyana, Warner would go down in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

Warner and Whitter would then team up for the Doubles Quarter-Finals, they took on Jaiden Julien from Antigua and Tim Pasea from Trinidad and Tobago.

Warner and Whitter won the first set 6-1, but they would fall by the same score in the second set.

The match would then be decided in a tie-breaker that saw Warner and Whitter win 10-7.
