A scintillating century from overseas signing Tim Seifert wasn’t enough to prevent Delray Rawlins and his Sussex teammates from falling to defeat at Hampshire.
Seifert had great support from Rawlins who made 32 from 21, Seifert and Rawlins put on a fifth-wicket stand of 69 to give the Sharks a chance as the overs whittled away, but Rawlins was run out by the tightest of margins, possibly millimeters away from making it home just before the umpires took the players off for rain.
Amari Ebbin & Cameron Jeffers
Cameron Jeffers, Amari Ebbin, and their Cowbridge Cricket Club teammates defeated Mumbles Cricket Club by 40 runs.
Ebbin led Cowbridge in the batting department as they scored 199 all out, Ebbin’s scored 82 off 104 balls, he hit 8 fours, while Jeffers scored 28 off 30 balls hitting 4 fours.
In reply Mumbles were bowled out for 159, Jeffers finished with figures of 8.4-0-23-5, while Ebbin claimed a stumping off a Jeffers delivery.
Kamau Leverock
Kamau Leverock and his Rode Park & Lawton Cricket Club teammates defeated Meir Heath Cricket Club by 100 runs.
Rode Park won the toss and elected to bat, they scored 212/4 in their 50 overs, Leverock was out for 7 off 5 balls hitting one four.
In reply Meir Heath was bowled out for 112, Leverock returned figures of 7-1-39-2.
