Somerset won the toss and elected to bowl, Sussex would score 216/7 in their 20 overs, opener Josh Philippe was the top scorer with 70, off 43 balls, he hit 3 fours and 5 sixes, Rawlins chipped in with 14 off 7 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six. J Davey was the pick of the Somerset bowlers returning figures of 4-0-45-3.
In reply, Somerset was bowled out for 169, R Rossouw was the top scorer with 74 before Rawlins had him brilliantly caught. Obed McCoy led the Sussex bowling attack with figures of 4-0-33-5, Tymal Mills bowled 3.5-0-32-4, and Rawlins finished with figures of 2-0-13-1.
