Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association Announce 2021 Course

IslandStats.com
Did you know that there are ten ways a batsman can get out in cricket?

Most people know “bowled”, “caught”, “stumped”, “LBW”, and “run out”, but what about the other 5?

The others are “retired out”, “hit the ball twice”, “obstructing the field”, “hit wicket”, and “timed out” — each of these methods has their own laws and explanations.

Did you know that the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association (BCUA) is also a full member of the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association and that you can get both your local and international Umpiring certifications through us?

Did you know that you get paid to umpire local matches? Or that BCUA Umpires have the opportunity to travel and officiate internationally?

Your first step is participating in the BCUA’s 6-week umpire training programme, which includes a qualification test and practical sessions — starting on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
