Kamau Leverock and his Cardiff MCCU teammates went down by 1 wicket against Solent on Day One of the 50 Overs League.
Batting first Cardiff were bowled all out for 193 after 44.5 overs, with Leverock scoring 26 from 41 deliveries, he hit 2 fours in his knock.
In reply Solent scored 198/9 off 49.3 overs, Solent were sitting comfortable at 142/3, to 189/9, but they were able to score the required runs. Leverock finished with figures of 7-0-35-1.
Meanwhile the match featuring Delray Rawlins playing for Sussex Seconds against Surrey was rained out on the final day.
