Sussex declared their second inning at 141/8 holding a lead of 287 at Lunch, leaving Surrey 72 overs in which to get 288 runs.
Surrey reached 106/3 at Tea, leaving them needing 182 runs to win or Sussex grab 7 wickets to win, Sussex grabbed 6 overs in quick succession, leaving them 16 overs in which to get one wicket, Surrey could only manage 190 run all out as Sussex recorded the victory, Rawlins finished with figures of 3/47.
