Bermuda's Kamau Leverock and his Cardiff MCCU teammates hung on for a draw on day three of their three day English MCC University Match against the Somerset County team that featured former England player Marcus Trescothick at Taunton.
Continuing their inning this morning Somerset scored 480/9 declared in their second inning extending their lead to 732.
In their second inning Somerset resumed on 259/3 after 57 overs went on to score 221 more runs in 29.2 overs, Trescothick retired on 100, while James Hildreth added 96. Leverock who recorded a catch in the second inning finished with bowling figures of 15-2-72-1.
Cardiff MCCU 2nd Innings saw them bat out the remaining 50 in the day’s play with their score at 143/8, thanks to an 8th wicket partnership of 70 between Andrew Westphal and James Turpin. Leverock got a 1 ball duck in the second inning.
