Bermuda Record Falls in Cricket World Cup

IslandStats.com
Bermuda’s record of giving up the most runs in a World Cup game has fallen, after Australia scored 417/6 in 50 overs against Afghanistan overtaking the India score against Bermuda.

In the ICC Cricket World Cup India scored 413/5 against Bermuda in Trinidad in 2007.

BBC Test Match Special statistician Andrew Samson said, "Up until March 11th 2006 there were no ODI totals over 400 (2348 matches). In 9 years (1275 matches) since then there have now been 15."

Just last week West Indies came close to becoming the leaders of giving up the most runs in a World Cup match, but they held South Africa 5 runs short of the Bermuda mark.
