At the Somerset Cricket Club, Willow Cuts batted first and were bowled all out for 157, Shaquille Jones was the top scorer with 38 runs, while Vernon Eve returned figures of 10-0-31-2 to lead the Southampton Rangers bowling attack and Derrick Brangman bowled 9.4-1-32-2.

In reply Southampton Rangers had reached 33 after 9 overs when an incident on the field between Southampton Rangers captain Dion Stovell and Willow Cuts fielder Chris Douglas saw the pair needing to be separated. What was astonishing following the incident was the Willow Cuts players left the field, after a lengthy discussion involving the umpires and both coaches the Willow Cuts players returned to the field and the match resumed. Willow Cuts eventually bowled Southampton Rangers all out three runs short of their target, Stovell was the top scorer with 61, while Shannon Raynor added 20. Jones led the Willow Cuts bowling attack returning figures of 6-0-22-3 and captain Malachi Jones returned bowling figures of 10-1-36-3.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 129 Runs

At Lord’s in St. David’s this match was reduced to 32 overs, with St. David’s Cricket Club scoring 183/6 in their allotted overs, but they were awarded a further 12 runs for the St. George’s Cricket Club bowling a slow over rate taking the score to 195. Captain OJ Pitcher was the top scorer with 73, while Mackie Crane returned bowling figures of 6-1-22-3 to lead the St. George’s Cricket Club bowling attack.

In reply Makai Young and Charles Marshall Jr. both scored 15 runs as the St. George’s Cricket Club were bowled all out for 66. Del Hollis was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 4.5-1-10-5.

Bailey’s Bay Win by 24 Runs

Cleveland County won the toss at the Wellington Oval and sent Bailey’s Bay into bat in their match that was reduced to 34 overs, Bailey’s bay scored 173/7, Rodney Trott was the top scorer with 60, while Stephen Outerbridge added 52, Tamauri Tucker was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 6-0-41-4.

In reply Cleveland County were bowled all out for 149, captain Allan Douglas Jr. was the top scorer with 48. Kyle Hodsoll was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 6.2-0-27-4, while player coach Irving Romaine had figures of 6-2-7-3.

FIRST DIVISION

Western Stars Win by 1 Wicket

At the St. John’s Field, Flatt’s Victoria won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled all out for 83, Regino Smith was the top scorer with 30, while Nelson Bascome added 19 not out, Jason Lowe led the Western Stars bowling attack with figures of 5-0-17-3, while Naquan Smith bowled 4.5-0-24-3 and Seth Campbell bowled 6-1-31-3.

In reply Western Stars were 68/3, before 5 ducks saw them struggling, they made it home with one wicket to spare scoring 84/9 after 15.1 overs. For the second day in a row Wayne Campbell was the top scorer with 36, while Brian Hall held his nerve as the tail was falling to score 29 not out. Bascome returned bowling figures of 8-0-23-5 and Darnelle Ferrell returned figures of 3.1-0-18-4.

Somerset Bridge Win by 3 Wickets

Warwick Workman’s Club 144 Somerset Bridge 147/7


At the Southampton Oval, Warwick Workman’s Club were bowled all out for 144, Lionel Cann was the top scorer with 43, while Jade Darrell added 31. Noel Woods was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers with figures of 10-0-22-3.

In reply Somerset Bridge scored 147/7, Donnie Charles was the top scorer with 64 not out, while Ezekiel Greenwood added 38. Dequan Benjamin led the Warwick Workman’s bowling attack with figures of 5-1-26-3.
