The Bermuda Cricket Board confirmed that the Bermuda Cricket Umpire’s Association (BCUA) is offering a FREE Beginner’s Umpire Course. The course will start on Tuesday February 25th and will run for eight weeks at the Bermuda Cricket Board.
The course facilitator is Roger Dill who comes with a wealth of experience including the following highlights from his international resume:
•Dill gained international acclaim in May 2006 when he became the first ever Associate Umpire to officiate a game involving a Full Member (Zimbabwe v Canada). •Later in 2006 Dill was invited to umpire an ODI between England and Ireland. •Dill umpired for 25 ODI matches including England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe and 11 ICC Intercontinental Cups (4-day) matches. •Dill officiated at the U19 World Cup in Sri Lanka in 2006 and Malaysia in 2008.
