The Bermuda Cricket Board Under 17 Trial Match and Skills Assessments commence at Shelly Bay Field. The activities run from 11 am to 6 pm on and to be eligible, players have to be born on or after September 1st, 1996.
Meanwhile the Bermuda Cricket Board President Lloyd Fray congratulated Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association member Melvin Best on his successful completion of the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association written exam.
Best is now eligible to sit the Oral and Practical Exam which leads to certification as a fully qualified umpire.
President Fray said, "I am very pleased by the continuing high standards and professionalism of the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association. Best has already established himself as a respected umpire and passing this exam is a big step to being fully qualified. On behalf of the Bermuda Cricket Board I congratulate Best and encourage others to consider joining the ranks of this important body in Bermuda cricket."
