Island Soccer League Play-Off action is underway, as the Kings battle Apex, and then the Titans lock horns with the Royal. The ISL Defending Champions Kings have been eliminated as they went down 7 - 6 to the Apex, and then the Royal edged pass the Titans in overtime.
Kings 6 Apex 7
2 goals apiece from Keston Lewis and Vernon Tankard along with a single strike from Dawud Tucker gave the Apex a 5 - 3 lead at half time. Daniel Black, Jahni Bean and Aquino Grant scored the early goals for the Kings.
In the third quarter the Kings came storming back with two goals from Black, his second being a blistering right footed shot that brought the teams level and also brought up Black‘s hat-trick.
Wolde Place put Apex ahead 6-5 with 10:30 remaining in the final quarter. Khalil Symonds redirected a shot to equalize for the Kings with under six minutes remaining. A shot from Heyes Wolfe put Apex ahead 7 - 6 with 3 minutes to go.
Titans 2 Royal 3
1st Quarter
Jason Davis gave the Titans the lead with a strike two minutes into the quarter.
2nd Quarter
Joshua Butterfield equalized three minutes into the quarter for the Royal. Tarik Jennings put the Titans ahead 2 - 1 with 4 minutes remaining from a shootout.
3rd Quarter
Neither team could find a way pass the opposing goalkeeper as the score remains 2 - 1.
4th Quarter
Jemieko Jennings scored a right footed free kick from just outside the box to draw the Royal level with 8:30 remaining, with no further goals the game will be decided by the Golden goal.
Sudden Death
Jennings scored a shootout goal to earn the Royal a place in the Semi-Final.
