The Netball Bermuda Summer League season reached an action-packed conclusion at Bernard Park, with the Allshore Ballers and Storm Chasers delivering comprehensive victories to wrap up the Coed Division schedule.
In the evening's standalone marquee Women's League fixture, BDA College Chargers turned on the style in the second half to record a double-digit victory over the Bermuda Under-21 Academy pipeline.
Coed Division: Bahadosingh and Williams Put On Shooting Clinics
The Allshore Ballers signed off their campaign in emphatic fashion, cruising to a ruthless 40-10 victory over the Atlantic Aces.
The contest quickly became a masterclass from Allshore's spearhead attacker Sheldon Bahadosingh, who proved utterly unstoppable under the hoop, netting a staggering 33 goals. Backed by an MVP performance from teammate Ebonie Cox and elite defensive work from Keedai Astwood, the Ballers completely starved the Aces of possession. Charlie Evans fought valiantly for the Aces with nine goals, while Alex Godet claimed team MVP honors for a relentless work rate in mid-court.
On the adjacent court, Storm Chaser produced a highly clinical second-half display to defeat RenRe and Friends 27-18.
Antione Williams once again anchored the Storm attack, accounting for 19 of his side's goals to claim the match MVP accolade. Supported by Amali Powell and excellent defensive tracking by Inshan-Nae Smith, Storm gradually pulled away from a gritty RenRe outfit. Aaron Furbert top-scored for the corporate side with ten goals in a losing but individually impressive MVP effort.
Women’s League: Chargers Hold Off Academy Fightback
The BDA College Chargers showcased their clinical depth to register a commanding 28-18 victory over the island's Under-21 Academy side.
The senior collegiate side relied heavily on the lethal accuracy of attacker Kammie Mills, who struck 18 goals to unpick a stubborn youth defense. Backed by a standout, defensive-minded MVP performance from Deontae Scott, the Chargers managed to continuously blunt the Academy's transition play.
Despite the deficit, the Under-21s showed plenty of promise for the future. Sioma Rudo led their offensive charge with six goals, while defender Honor Caesar enjoyed an exceptional individual outing, picking up both the team MVP award and best defender honors for her relentless intercepting work in the circle.
