IslandStats.com
Warwick Football Academy (WFA) is proud to announce the appointment of Dante Leverock as the Academy's Director of Player Development & High Performance, while also assuming the role of Lead Coach – High Performance Football @ Warwick Academy.

The appointment represents a significant investment in the future of football development at Warwick Football Academy and reinforces the Academy's commitment to providing one of Bermuda's premier player development environments.

Leverock joins Warwick Football Academy with an outstanding combination of elite playing experience, internationally recognised coaching qualifications, academic achievement, and leadership expertise.

He holds the UEFA Elite Youth A Licence, UEFA B Licence, EXOS Performance Specialist Certification, a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Coaching and Fitness, and a Master's Degree in Education and Leadership. He is also a Certified Wellness Coordinator, bringing a holistic approach to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

Combined with his experience as a professional footballer and former captain of the Bermuda National Team, Leverock is exceptionally well positioned to guide the Academy's technical direction and continue strengthening its player development pathway.

The newly created position reflects Warwick Football Academy's long-term strategic vision of developing technically gifted, tactically intelligent, physically prepared, and mentally resilient footballers.

Working alongside Technical Director Richard Todd, Leverock will provide technical leadership across the Academy, mentor coaches across multiple age groups, and oversee the continued growth of the High Performance Football Programme @ Warwick Academy.

A key component of the role will be mentoring coaches across the Academy by modelling high-quality session planning, training delivery, and coaching best practices. Through regular collaboration, observation, and constructive feedback, Leverock will support Age Group Coordinators and team coaches in delivering engaging, player-centred training sessions that align with Warwick Football Academy's technical philosophy and long-term player development objectives.

Partnership with Da Rock Elite Academy

An important component of Leverock's appointment is the continued collaboration between Warwick Football Academy and Da Rock Elite Academy.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to raising coaching standards, strengthening player development pathways, and creating more opportunities for young footballers throughout Bermuda.

Beyond his coaching qualifications, Leverock's academic background reflects his commitment to lifelong learning and athlete development.

Technical Director Richard Todd described the appointment as an important milestone in the Academy's continued evolution.

"We are delighted to welcome Dante to Warwick Football Academy. His experience at the highest levels of football, combined with his outstanding coaching qualifications and educational background, makes him …

… and every young footballer is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. His appointment represents another important step in building one of Bermuda's leading football development programmes."

Leverock expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Academy.

"I am honoured to join Warwick Football Academy and excited about the opportunity to help shape the future of football development within the Academy. Developing players and supporting coaches is something I care deeply about, and I look forward to working with Richard, the coaching staff, players, and families to continue building a culture of excellence, learning, and opportunity."
