Devonshire Rec produced a dominant performance to defeat Lady Stars twenty-eight to eighteen in the latest round of the Summer Women's Netball League.
In the evening's solitary fixture, Devonshire Rec established control early on to secure a comfortable ten-point victory and claim the league points.
Miesha Greaves led the scoring charge for the winners with an impressive thirteen goals. She received excellent support from teammate Charlene Bogle, who netted eleven times, while Zakiyah Durham chipped in with four goals to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Greaves was later recognized for her prolific attacking display, picking up the best attacker award for Devonshire Rec.
Teammate Demiqua Daniels was named most valuable player for her influential performance, while Imani Smith collected the best defender honors for anchoring a resolute backline.
The Lady Stars fought valiantly but struggled to match the scoring depth of their opponents. Marissa Brangman was the standout shooter for the Stars, matching Greaves with thirteen goals of her own. K'xiyae Gibbons provided the remaining support with five goals.
Despite the defeat, Sudan Reid enjoyed an exceptional individual evening for the Lady Stars, claiming a double accolade as both the team's most valuable player and best defender. Chiaje Rudo was named the side's best attacker for her creative work in the offensive third.
